About Hepatitis c

What is hepatitis C?

Hepatitis C is a liver disease.  Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. Inflammation is a painful, red swelling that results when the body's tissues become injured or infected. It can cause inflammation of the organs and then they do not function properly.

What is the liver?

The liver does many important things.
